• The dam of our Butterfly has just gone EX 2nd calver making her bred from 5 EX dams, read more on the Butterfly page

• A good year in the show ring continues as we had our best ever results at the 2010 Great Yorkshire Show, there were ribbons on many of our entries including:-
  2nd Senior Maiden Heifer with Hellifield Goldwyn Luella
  1st Junior Maiden Heifer with Tynevalley Wardle Plaid Eileen
  1st Senior Heifer in Milk with Cartronbree Sep Raven VG86 (she went on to be Reserve Junior Champion)
  2nd Intermediate Cow in Milk with Wardle Gibson Cocoa EX90

• We had a successful trip to our local county show, Northumberland, on Monday 31st May. Tynevalley Wardle Plaid Eileen, an October 2009 Windy-Knoll-View Plaid (Goldwyn x Windy-Knoll View Pledge) daughter was 1st place Intermediate calf and Reserve Champion Calf, while Tynevalley Dorys Delight Red was 2nd Intermediate Calf behind her herd mate. Tynevalley Empire Kally was 2nd in the Senior Calf behind the Champion.

• There's a new addition at Tynevalley, Cartronbree Sept Raven is a daughter of Markwell Rudolph Diamond EX91-4E, herself a daughter of Markwell Luke Rapture EX92-4E. From the heart of the Ravens it's another world class family to join Tynevalley at the start of 2010.

• We are busy organising the Northern Lights sale for 2nd September in conjunction with Wright Manley.

• Tuesday 14th July saw a fantastic entry of over 120 head of Holsteins compete at the Great Yorkshire Show, Tynevalley were in the shake up, with Bricknell Gibson Peach winning the Senior Cow in Milk class before going on to be Honourable Mention. Ridgefield Stormatic Eileen was 5th In calf heifer and Wardle Talented Coll was 4th in the mature interbreed calf class.
  
  
• The Tynevalley team returned from The Royal Highland Show at the end of June where Tynevalley Shottle Katrina was 2nd In calf heifer and Bricknell Gibson Peach was 3rd Senior cow in Milk (having had 4 or more calvings) and 2nd 10,000kg class
  
  

• There is a new addition to the Tynevalley show string, a January 2009 Goldwyn from Fraeland Talent Luella VG89, its her only UK daughter and maybe her only daughter in Europe.
  Hellifield Goldwyn Luella is a potential 11th generation VG or EX

• The phenomenally successful Bricknell Gibson Peach EX93-2E ( 8th gen EX Gibson x Malachite) was Champion Holstein and Best udder at Northumberland County Show, she is now part owned by Tynevalley Genetics with Wardle Holsteins.
  
  

• May Bank holiday Monday saw our annual trip to the local Northumberland County Show, where we had a successful show, winning the In calf heifer class with Tynevalley Shottle Katrina and winning the Heifer in Milk class with Ridgefield September Rose. Rose went on to be Junior Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion
  
  
• The classifier has been to see Comestar Alicia Talent and 8 weeks fresh with her 2nd she is now VG85, click HERE to read more about her and the family
